Early Life :
Suryakumar Yadav was born to a middle class family. During childhood he was inclined towards sports specially Cricket and Badminton. His father asked him to choose one of the two so that he does not sail on two boats. He eventually chose cricket. His uncle Vinod Yadv was his first coach.

Education :
He studied Bcom in R.A. Poddar College and there itself he met his wife Devisha. Surya got impressed with Devisha’s dance while Devisha got impressed with Surya’s batting.

Career :
Suryakumar debuted for Mumbai in First-Class season against Delhi in 2010, then he had scored a quickfire 73 in just 89 balls.
He was signed by Mumbai Indians in 2012 season but hardly got a chance to play in first 11 due to the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Rohit Sharma, Mahela and Pollard.
His fortunes changed when he played a match winning knock of 46 runs off 20 balls against Mumbai Indians in the IPL in 2015 at Eden Gardens, and gained instant fame.
